What's the point of making movies rated R if they let a minor watch it with an adult? Think about it. If you watch it with an adult, it still means you're going to watch it. So what difference does it make if you watch it alone?
If they're going to allow minors watching it with adults, there's no point in rating whatever movie it is R. If all else, they should just not let any minors watch it at all, regardless if there's an adult accompanying them.
Maybe the industry is composed of money-loving bastards. Yes, that's it. (:
